More and more before, folk are heading to the concept of becoming self-employed, working for themselves and working at home.

Well, you may have your own reasons. But most individuals are on the lookout for alternative choices to regular employment due to the current state of the economy, and to provide a difference in their standard of life.

Normal jobs just are not what they were. In days gone by, you found a job at a corporation, worked there your whole career, and were provided benefits and an annuity when you retired.

No longer.

Today, most companies aren't hiring, but among the few that are, plenty will just hire part time employees to get around paying higher wages and benefits. Today's jobs are not stable, have small advancement potential, and are keeping people underpaid and underemployed.

Hence since you are reading this, you most likely have experienced this and are looking for some self employment ideas and options to escape from this unrewarding job model.

Self Employment Ideas - Our Factors for Selecting the Best Self Employment

Before I tell you my recommendation, I would like to tell you why I suggest it.

1. Being Self-employed should not mean you still have a job.

Too many self employment ventures are what I call "buying a job". If you still have to go to work twenty four seven, you purchased a job. There's possibly a business you go to regularly, and the owner is always there, cooking your food, working the cash register, or doing some other low-paying job all day 24x7. That is purchasing a job. They spent a lot of money to start a business, but now they're back to being an employee, basically.

It boils down to time liberty. Even doctors or attorneys don't have time liberty. They may make a high income, but they remain tied to the clock.

2. Low-risk, low investment.

Most conventional companies fail. An overwhelming percentage. Yet people will spend tens or maybe hundreds of thousands of cash mortgage their house, wipe out their savings, all on the hope that a business will be successful.

The fact is, it only has a 10 % chance. So think about it. You've got a better likelihood of going to Las Vegas and earning profits than you do starting a small business!

Nothing is free, so be ready to at least spend something. But our best concepts for self employment have a low (totally cheap) start up cost and , almost no risk.

3. It has got to be reasonable.

The aspiring rock star. The hopeful actress. The guy trying to sell his screenplay. They golfer that thinks he can go pro at 25 years in age. Ain't gonna occur.

Sure, every once in awhile someone gets a miracle. But you don't enter into a business on the one in 1,000,000 hope that you'll hit the lottery.

To a smaller extent, many self employment ideas just aren't that reasonable. You probably don't really want to spend several years learning a whole new skill. Or, if you are not a "born salesman", you aren't just going to right away become great at it. Therefore obviously, it's got to be something you can do. And the only way you will know this, with certainty, is if others like you have also been able to do it, and it is proven.

4. It has to be profitable.

You want to earn cash, right? Again, seems obvious, but you would be surprised how many people become self employed and either lose money, or make a pathetic hourly "wage" for their time spent.

There are just too many stories of people that made a decent annual income, but worked numerous hours to get it. Frequently when you do the math, they may just as well have a regular j0b.

Working for pay has no leverage. So we need a scalable business where profits can grow far beyond your hours of labor. So in order to meet our standards, hours worked cannot be a factor in money earned.

This is a tough one for those who don't know any other way, nonetheless it actually exists!

Self Employment Ideas - My Advice

After a number of years of searching work from home opportunities, social marketing and M.L.M businesses and many conventional enterprises, both on and offline, I have simplified it down to my single fave of all of the self employment ideas I have investigated.

Here's why:

- Web business means total time freedom. Invest a couple of hours a day, on your schedule. Work in your pyjamas if you need. Take your laptop computer and work at a coffee house or in the Caribbean if you would like. Answer to nobody. Your time is actually your own.

- Lowrisk. It's $25 to start. That's it. You will spend a bit more as you go, for extra revenue opportunities, training, etc, but just $25 to have a total business you can operate beginning in about 2 hours. Enough said on that.

- You can do it. Any person with even the most simple capability on a P.C. can do it. If you made it to this article, you know enough to do it.

- It is very profitable. Average people are making huge incomes, in just one or two months. Get rich fast? Ironically, regardless of that being a "bad" term, we have learned that the majority wish to make a good revenue, and they want to have it occur fast. This is a chance to do just that. We see no reason to "get broke slowly"!
